The Benefits of Physio and Fitness for Canadians

Fitness and physio offer plenty of benefits, especially for Canadians with busy work schedules and lifestyles. Long hours at work, stress, poor diet, and sedentary lifestyle increase the risk for chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and others. Regular exercise, on the other hand, helps reduce stress and anxiety, keeps muscles in good condition, and boosts brainpower and self-confidence.

Today, more and more Canadians suffer from hypertension and other chronic conditions. Reports show that more than 5 million people or 1 in 5 Canadians is overweight or obese. Regular physical activity, whether fitness, physio, jogging, or tennis, helps control weight and fight addiction, be that food, alcohol, or anything else. Exercise is one way to aid addiction recovery and reboot the body’s natural clock. Physical activity and proper nutrition are vital for health while inactivity and overweight are considered risk factors for disability, chronic disease, and premature death. According to reports, however, about 70 percent of Canadians are practically inactive, which can be a serious threat to health. It can be a burden for the country’s healthcare system and generations to come. Many Canadians drive home, sit in front of the PC, drive to work, and live on processed and fast food. Healthy lifestyle, on the other hand, involves regular exercise and a diverse menu that includes healthy protein, fats, carbohydrates, and fruits and vegetables. There are many benefits to fitness and physio, extending way beyond weight control and management. Exercise helps prevent back pain, high blood pressure, stroke, and osteoporosis. Fitness helps enhance the heart’s working capacity and improves the blood flow.
